Congratulation! What an exciting time it is! From the initial hope, the surprise, the joy and relief, it’s a whirlwind of emotions you feel. And then there’s the rush to prepare for the arrival of your new baby. Time is both fast, and slow!

From the first kick, to reading to your tummy, there are many new experiences for you both. As parents ourselves we know words alone cannot describe these feelings.
How can you show your child what it was like? The mix of nerves and excitement. The change within us from a couple to being parents. How wonderful would it be, for them to see what mum and dad were like before they arrived. To show mum and dad were young once too!

Sydney Maternity Photography helps you create their heirlooms and legacy. It’s not about poses and fancy dresses. It’s that authentic connection that you feel with each other, and your unborn baby. We help you express your emotions, so you can create meaningful artwork that can bring you back to relive this time again and again. That your child will be able to feel and understand, even before they can read.

To do this, we learn about you and your journey. We don’t put you in our photos, we join you in yours. Together, we capture these incredible feelings that you will be proud to re-experience, as you recall the magic of this time.

Our Sydney Maternity Photography business started like a simple maternity photography photo shoots. A sunset, a beach walk and a lovely chat to calm any nerves about her Maternity Photography.

As a Sydney Maternity Photographer, I am blessed to have such gorgeous locations to shoot. The gorgeous low, back-light glows in my clients hair and gives her a halo of confidence and beauty that all expecting mothers exude and should embrace. At sunset the beach skies put on a spectacular show of pastel pinks and blues. These beautiful maternity photography settings look beautiful hung in any family home. A perfect way to remember such a special time in life.

I love maternity photography. Capturing the beauty & femininity of pregnancy in natural light and natural settings. I style every shoot specific to you. The thing I love giving my expectant mums isn’t just beautiful maternity photography – it’s that moment they see themselves for how everyone else can see them. Truly glowing! 9 months feels so long waiting for baby. When you reflect back you will realise it is all over way too fast. To have this memory forever is priceless!

Maternity Photography sessions could be shot on a selection of beautiful Sydney beaches. Your session will go for around 45 minutes. We can photograph belly bumps from 20 weeks, ideally 25-35 weeks.

Outdoor Maternity Photography sessions are best done between 32-36 weeks before your little baby prepares itself for birth & moves down into your pelvis.

Some Maternity Photography sessions are done in Centennial Park and take around 45 minutes to complete. Siblings & partners are welcome at no extra charge. Please see the examples of our Maternity Photograpy here.

We strongly recommend choosing a fitted under the bust dress that flows from there. Or ask us about our gown options. Mum to be, as well as partners and children should choose outfits of neutral, white or soft colours. No logos, patterns or stripes. Pregnancy is an incredible time in a woman’s life – whether it is the first time or the fifth! Every week your body grows and changes, making a brand new and unique little person. The female body’s ability to grow and birth a brand new person is an amazing miracle and achievement. Maternity photography is all about celebrating the beauty of pregnancy allowing you to look back on just how beautiful you looked (even if you didn’t feel very glamorous!), and to truly appreciate your amazing body.

When is the best time for my maternity session?

Maternity photography sessions are best done when you are between 32 and 36 weeks pregnant. This is so that your bump is nice and round, but before the final few weeks when you may feel more uncomfortable and tired.

How long do maternity sessions take?

Maternity Photography sessions are a lot of fun and a great chance for us to get to know each other before your baby’s newborn session. Maternity sessions usually take about 45 mins to 1 hour. In that time I aim to do a variety of poses, setups and outfits changes. I also include images with your partner and other children (where applicable).

Do you offer outdoor maternity sessions?

All our maternity photo sessions take place outdoor at one of the Sydney’s spectacular beaches or Centennial Park.
